Here are some photos from Santiago de Chile where I now live and the surrounding Region Metropolitana. Santiago itself has plenty of interesting things to see and do, from the Plaza de Armas, Bellavista and Cerro San Cristobal and the Mercados Central and La Vega. But outside of Santiago there are also many interesting vineyards, and of course the Andes Mountains and Cajon de Maipo. In Winter the smog is very bad, but it is possible to get out of the city on weekends. 2 hours drive in a 4x4 takes you to above 3000 metres in the heart
