Jasper National Park is one of Albertas and Canadas UNESCO world heritage sites. It is more quiet, rustic and rugged than its Banff counterpart similar to the difference between Edmonton and Calgary. I have taken a few day trips to this stunning park over the years with friends and family. It is a four hour ride from Edmonton and it is quite a long drive. For a day trip in summer, it is do-able as our summer days are long with close to 17 hours of sunlight. The Athabasca falls, Columbia Icefields and Lake Pyramid
