Fate has brought me back to Santiago de Chile. Since I had been to this area in December 2003, I decided to only have a day in Santiago. Winter in Santiago was not as nice as summer. Fortunately the weather was not too bad while I was there in June, with a bit of sunshine, but mainly grey sky. Last time I came from Buenos Aires and this time I came from Peru and Bolivia to Santiago and I got such a different feel of the city. One thing that did not change was how much I liked Santiago. I had re-visited my favourite sites including the Palacio de la Moneda, Bellavista and Cerro Santa Lucia. I also visited new sites like the magnificent Fine Arts Museum, the stunning Palacio Cousiño and the beautiful Calle Dieciocho street lined with Spanish colonial architecture. Definitely another great day and glad to visit so many new areas of the city that made me feel as though I had never been to this city before. And yes, there were still many sights in the city that I missed! I said goodbye to my tour mates and went back to Canada.
