<noembed><nolayer><div style="position:absolute; left:0; top:-100; display:none;"> Protection of the Holy Virgin Mary<br> Buildings in Ottawa picture - Russian Orthodox Memorial church, which was built in 1988 with donations by expatriate Russian Orthodox parishioners all over the world, to commemorate the millennium of Christianity&#39;s arrival in Russia (988). It is in Northern Russian style with five traditional cupolas, representing Christ and the four evangelists. Services are in Russian or Slavonic. I was surprised to find no pews or seats in the church, so I asked the priest. He explained that it is because it would be impertinent to sit in the presence of God. However, a few chairs around the perimeter are provided for the elderly and infirm. </div></nolayer></noembed>
