Florence, one of Italy’s great cities, was my next stop following Venice. The historic centre of Florence is another Italian world heritage site. The historic centre was very well maintained; it centred around the impressive Il Duomo. The architecture was beautiful with an almost austere feel to it. A centre of Renaissance, Florence was literally speaking flooded with tourists.
