The draw of being in the Northeast is, of course, Niagara Falls! Anticipation builds up as tires tread the miles to finally arrive at the Canadian border. Having our birth certificates and identification cards ready, we were in for the treat of our summer. Having researched, we opted to view the falls and activities from the Canadian side, and were very pleased with our decision. The falls were spectacular, as was the light show in the evening. The sidewalks were crowded with like tourists, yet most were casual and quite polite. While parking can be a bit expensive, if you're okay with a walk, you can park a bit further up for a fairly reasonable price [about US$8.00] but for parking right at the falls, it will cost you at least US$10.00 MORE. Don't forget to check out some of the other attractions in the immediate area, such as the Bird Aviary, the Butterfly House, and the Floral Clock. All well worth the effort.
