aka Kuning Palace (yellow palace). After the palace complex was extended & enlarged in 1900 by Sultan Abdul Hamid for the upcoming simultaneous weddings of his five children (2 princes, 3 princesses) in 1904, this palace structure became known as Pelamin Palace. [The grand wedding ceremony, which lasted for 3 months, was celebrated at the palace, the Balai Besar (The Great Hall), the Balai Seni (the Hall of Arts) & the Padang Court (the Court Square).]
