Onslow, Iowa, is typical of small midwestern towns that are fading because of declining farm populations and the lure of bigger cities. But it is interesting to me because my great great grandparents, John and Jemima Wasson, settled here after arriving from Scotland. My great grandfather, grandfather and father were all born and raised here.
