Gearrannan Village
Scenery in Scotland picture - This restored community of old Scottish blackhouses is available for self-catering holidays. There are several units, though only two appear in this photograph. One of the larger houses is a hostel, another is a museum and there is also the inevitable resturant and gift shop. The houses have been rebuilt with modern electric, heating and plumbing. The homes were used until the 1950's and were restored an modernized within the last few years. The location, on a tiny bay off the Atlantic Ocean is very nice.
