John O' Groats is one end of the farthest distance you can travel in the UK. (Land's End is the other end.) There is not much to John O' Groats but this great old inn and a collection of artist shops and a couple of restaurants. This is also where you catch the ferry to the Orkney Islands and where you can see the famous Duncansby Sea Stacks. The inn was closed in May 2003 when this picture was taken but has since reopened.
