When I lived in Ohio, I passed through Kentucky several times en route to the Smoky Mountains and other southern destinations. In the late 1990s, I began exploring the state itself. These pictures, taken on a day trip out of Dayton, Ohio, in January 2004, focus on sites in the Lexington, Shakertown and Harrodsburg area.
