Gloucester and Rockport are two small towns on Cape Ann in the Northshore area of Boston. These are excellent places to visit as a side trip from Boston. You can cover both places in one day. Gloucester can be reached by car from Boston in about an hour. Rockport is only about 4 miles from Gloucester, farther in the north.
