Okay, you're right. This is not the Acropolis, one of the finalists in the world-wide contest. It is the Temple of Zeus at Sounion, another beautiful Greek temple ruin about 30 miles south of Athens, home of the Acropolis. I can't believe it, but of all the pictures I've taken in Athens, I never once took one of the Acropolis. Too busy with my video camera, I guess. This isn't as important as the Acropolis, of course, but the Temple of Zeus overlooking the sea is a stunning sight, and an equal survivor of many centuries.
