Those brave souls on the beach in February must be lost Canucks or Swedes. The fairly short distance to the Alps reminds me of the view of the Rockies from Calgary. Behind the sun-worshippers you can see part of the sea-wall, which was part of extensive fortifications. Aside from having a good beach, Antibes is known for its roses. It is also the site of a fort built by the great military engineer Vauban.
