I'll bet this has to be the biggest and most elaborate one ever built! It sits by the beach where Allied troops opened a second front in the Fall of 1944, to take some of the pressure off those who had invaded Normandy in June. Sitting on the steps, my wife Myrtle gives an idea of the carrousel's size.
