KENASTON - elevator & old railway
Sightseeing in Saskatchewan picture - water tank. Like many other old farm elevators on the prairies, this elevator is now independently owned & has been developed into a business venture. In the early 1960s, Kenaston had 5 elevators, one of them an experimental all-steel elevator erected in 1960 to replace a wooden one that had been built in 1916. I think they were all Sask Wheat Pool (SWP) elevators except for a United Grain Grower one built in 1973. Now theres just this lonely prairie sentinel left here.
