If you have time to see only one thing in Bangkok, it should the the Grand Palace without question. Allow at least half a day to see it.

Grand Palace is actually a large walled compound comprising the Temple of Emareld Buddha (Wat Phra Kaew) and the actual palace of the former Thai Kings besides many other awe-inspiring things of visual splender.
