It was a rather interesting trip.

After renting a comfortable car in Manila we started our trip through the centre of Manila towards Banaue, in the Ifugao region further north.

Banaue is worth a trip as it beautiful sceneries are really something that in that way is rarely seen.

From Banaue we attempted to get to Baguio, another mountain city. The first way on the main street was closed down due to a land slide, which then forced us to get a second way through Hungdung. This a very rough path -i think we can not mention road- allowed us to proceed with a 30 km/h speed. However after a 3 hrs drive -it almost drove me crazy- we had to realise that the bridge in the middle of the mountains was closed...and no way lead over to Baguio. Again and trying to be still motivated we travelled all the way back to go further down again and attempt the third way to Baguio, successfully though with a painful experience through rain, fog and darkness in the midst of the mountain.

I heard that Banaue and the area there belonged once to the world wonders....guess surely because of its beauty, but maybe also because of the challenge to get out of it again...seemed like a wonder to me as well.

Baguio is very interesting. From there we took the car to Bolinao, Pangasinan, a great trip, through rice fields, beach sides, and mountains. .. really interesting, really beautiful.

And then finally from Bolinao, down south, along the cost to Subic Bay, olangapo, and then back to Manila.

Worth the experience, I would do it again, but it almost became something like "an amazing" race....
