A full day of sightseeing was in store for us today. We started the day by taking the subway to Plaza Italia and the annual Argentine Rural. An exposition that showcases Argentina's best livestock along with farm machinery and products from all the provinces of Argentina. This was my cup of tea but Bridget was not excited by all the wonderful sounds and smells. From there we stopped for a quick lunch in Palermo, cheesburger for Bridget, Milanesa sandwich on Arab bread for me. Then it was on to Tierra Santa, a strange and surreal theme park based on the life of Jesus in a re-created Jerusalem and Holy Land. Weird and tacky but at same time very respectful, well built and superbly detailed. We then headed south to MALBA, the museum of modern Latin American art. This was located in a beautiful building in a very nice section of the city (Palermo Chico). We enjoyed the Latin American artists which included original works of Diego Rivera, Frida Kahlo and the Argentine Antonio Berni. We walked home stopping by La Recoleta's craft village and bought a few gifts to take back home. At night we went out to dinner with my aunt and uncle for empanadas and pasta, Bridget had a huge and awesome looking strawberry sunday for dessert.
