On the Friday of the week we arrived in Canada we took a bus to Tsawwassen and took a ferry across to Vancouver Island. Another bus ride later and we were in Victoria, the capital of British Columbia.

We spent the afternoon/evening walking around the waterfront, admiring the famous Empress Hotel which looks like a fairytale castle, the Parliament buildings and the harbour. There was a big yacht race on over the weekend so lots of expensive yachts were ... (more)
