A memorable experience of trekking 14 kms in the Mandhakini river valley to the abode of Shiva at Kedarnath.

Last summer I had a great opportunity of visiting Kedarnath with my friends Thiagu and Kumar. The trail starts from Gaurikund and winds up through the lush green hill forest. On the way we encountered a number of milky waterfalls and murmuring streams. Throughout the trail the lovely Mandhakini, a major tributary of the Ganges, accompanied us.
