Viewing Lava on Hawaii (The Big Island)

Schoolbus
A schoolbus lost in a sea of lava.

Lost Highway
Part of state highway 130 that was swallowed by lava.

Between the cracks.
Lava flowing between two slabs of rock.

Lava flow.
A hole at the top of the cooled rock allowed for this outpouring of molten lava.

Lava river.
This river of lava is about five feet wide and was traveling about 10 mph.

Volcanologist
This is a volcanologist from the university of Hawaii taking a sample.
