During my 2006 Scandinavia trip, I stayed in Copenhagen for several days. While there I took a day trip up to Helsingor, a.k.a. Elsinore, a small town with a famous castle and interesting history. The castle, Kronborg Slot, was the setting William Shakespeare chose for Hamlet, although Shakespeare probably never actually visited the castle. The castle and grounds are open to tourists.
