Sightseeing in Scotland picture - Provost Skene's House dates to about 1545. It was named after Sir George Skene, a wealthy merchant. He became Provost of Aberdeen from 1676-1685. Provost Skene's House is now museum. It also has a wonderful tea room. It is one of two of the oldest houses in Aberdeen. The other being Provost Ross's House on Shiprow. I took many more pictures of both houses when last here in 2004.
