This is the kind of photography I like
I'm really surprised no one else has commented on your photographs yet. I live just south of Birmingham in Warwick (I've posted an article). I believe Birmingham is one of the most underrated cities. It's not exactly a tourist destination, but I believe it has improved enormously in the last 15 years. It used to be rather grim and industrial! Now, it's cleaner than London, people are friendlier, and doesn't feel too congested. What I like about Birmingham is that it's not trying too hard to be a 'pretty' city. It still feels very proud of its industrial roots, hence the canal area by the Convention Quarter.

Your photography's great. I like the close-up shots. I like the use of B&W as well. The picture of the man on the barge boat called Sometimes is magnificent. I also like the reflection in the canal.
