The highlights to our trip up north on Luzon Island, Philippines was Baugio City and Banaue. Both are beautiful mountain areas. Baugio is known for its wonderful fruits & vegetables, especially its strawberries when they are in season. It has the best market to shop at! It's known as the summer capital of the Philippines. It has beautiful pine trees and wonderful cool weather when the rest of the Philippines is still hot. For more information on Baugio I found a great website at www.cityofpines.com/index.html

Banaue contains the 8th wonder of the world, the Banaue Rice Terraces. They are an amazing site and I'd have to say if there was only one thing to see in the Philippines this would be it! The downside is it takes a long time to get there and there are only a few places to stay or eat, but the site is so incredible that it is still worth the trip. Unfortunately, none of my pictures can come close to showing its full glory and splender. It was foggy also, so the camera could not get the best pictures. I hope to back to this place and see more of it next time, though I'm so thankful to have already seen what I did as it was an amazing site.
