This article shows some photographs taken during a short trip to the West of France we did a few weeks ago. We travelled with our car around 1300 kilometres, from Madrid to Caën, with a stop of two nights in the city of Nantes. We had, therefore, the opportunity to visit several places in the French Britanny and the Lower Normandy. From our "gîte" at St Martin de Besaces, forty kilometres from Caën, we visited beautiful and interesting places such as Fougères, Vitré, Caën, Bayeux, St Malo, Giverny or Rouen. The main objective of our travel was, however, the magic Mont St Michel, a place that we had wished to visit for many years, but in special after reading the past year the novel "The Angel's Promise", which relates so well the history of the emplacement and the interesting theories regarding its origin. We are speaking about a wide region, full of art, history and natural beauties, and a one-week travel is far to be enough to see it in depth. These pictures represent, therefore, just a bit of that beautiful piece of France. We have to come back soon, but meanwhile, we hope you may enjoy this set of photographs.
