<noembed><nolayer><div style="position:absolute; left:0; top:-100; display:none;"> the view from Eze<br> Sightseeing in The Riviera picture - Here&#39;s a completely different interlude. Eze is a tiny perched village on three levels just off the highway heading towards Menton. I&#146;ve included it because of its unique cactus garden located at the highest point, nearly 500 metres above the Mediterranean. It is a village with a dreadful history of centuries of pirates, pillage and destruction, but was for some time it was home to Nietzsche, after whom they have named their &#147;philosopher&#146;s walk&#148; at the upper level. As he cogitated, he worked on &#147;Thus Spake Zarathustra&#148; there. More info here: www.provenceweb.fr/e/alpmarit/eze/eze.htm . </div></nolayer></noembed>
