Park at the car park in Weston village, and take the footpath down the tree lined track to the beach. As you come out from the trees there is a wonderful panoramic view down across the lovely valley to the sea. To begin with the path is easy walking, but as you get near to the beach there are a great many steep steps going down. Before reaching the steps, you can branch off left to take the coast path heading east to Branscombe, up the steep cliff side path. At the bottom cross the stream and take the very steep steps to take the coast path up the cliff side towards Sidmouth. The walk on this side is a gruelling slog up the steps of the cliff path, then a steep grassy track up to the woods, then more steps up through the woods. The reward, however is a wonderful view providing the weather is clear.
