Ann Arbor, Michigan is one of my favourite destinations for an overnight or weekend getaway. Home to the University of Michigan, it is a lively college town with a palpable liberal vibe situated within an hour and a half or so from the Canadian border in southeastern Michigan. The population is about 114,000 of which close to one third are students.
