These two young boys were 15 and 18. It was really sad to see them working there, instead of being in school. The 18 year old is saving up for college adn the 15 year old works during the day but goes to night school at night. I suppose it's good that they're miners since it provides them with work (although our guide said that there were workers as young as 12 there!). Many boys learn how to work from their fathers from a young age. I couldn't help but feel a bit bleak and empty inside. These could have been my students. how lucky and blessed we really are.
