* This is the more important shrine the miners made in the mountain - the shrine of Tio (uncle), whch is the devil, as they believe Tio lives underground and underground is where the devil lives. They make offerings to the shrine, with cocoa leaves. They also offer a lit cigarette so that the devil protects them during their work. If the cigarette stays lit in the shrine's mouth, then it's a good sign.
