The best time to visit Bunya Mountains National Park is just after the school holidays have finished. You can stay at almost any chalet you like and you will be able to have the park pretty much to yourself :-)

We stayed for 3 days, lost power 8 times and sat through some amazing storms. However, when the rain cleared, we got some serious walking done.
