Mount Erciyes Volcano<br> Turkey picture - I took this photograph of Mount Erciyes just outside Kayseri on the road to Goreme. The dormant volcano is 3916m high and is snow covered all year round. It was almost 40°C outside. It was an eruption of this volcano that caused the huge ash deposits in Capadoccia.
