Went looking for the fall colors in New England and found that the colors touched everything, the roads and towns were as sparkling as the trees that framed them. Follow the path we took beginning with that old favorite, Niagara Falls, and ending at New Haven. We drove around New York City on the way home and under Boston via The Big Dig while there. Most of the roads we took - US 1, 2, 7 and 20 among others - were secondary and offered much to see. There is no effort in this article to show all the sights, just to capture those views that seemed to define the area for me. You can see better photos elsewhere but these are the ones that worked for me.
