The complete fossilized remains of the Ponteix Plesiosaur, nicknamed "Mo", were found 6 km's NE of Ponteix, & were excavated between 1992 & 1994. The long-necked plesiosaur is a sea reptile that lived 70 to 75 million years ago & reached lengths up to 38 feet.
