Oct. 27 we drove into Yellowstone through the south entrance for a day trip. We walked around the West Thumb Geyser Basin and the Mud Volcano Area. Much of Yellowstone National Park is a very large caldera. The geysers and hot pots makes one realize that there is still a lot of volcanic activity going on. Scarry if I think about it to long.
