The pretty fishing village of Dongara is located 359 km north of Perth on the Brand Highway and 428 km via the Midlands Road. The town is characterised by some beautiful historic buildings and a main street which has some of the finest stands of Moreton Bay fig trees anywhere in Australia, these trees were planted in 1906.
Situated at the southern end of Jurien Bay which stretches over 9 km from Island Point the south to North Head. The waters of the bay are sheltered by a string of islands and reefs which lie just off the coast.
