My family and I traveled to Australia for 3.5 months during the Ohio winter of 2006-07. I was on a short sabbatical at the University of Adelaide. Fantastic trip for all five of us. I stayed in North Adelaide for 3 weeks before the family showed up. A great place where I felt very much at home due to the people and the wonderful neighborhoods. It was all I could have hoped for.
