The Botanic Gardens was one of my favortie places in Adelaide. I would get off the bus several stops early to stroll through the paths and plants and listen to the parrots. Fascinating array of life including the Wollemi pine one of the world's oldest and rarest species. It was thought to be extinct 2 million years ago as it was seen known in fossils. Then someone found 100 adult trees in NSW in 1994. I now have a small Wollemi Pine tree in my living room!
