a humble old church?
The Algarve picture - Im not sure
documentation about Taviras churches is unclear, but I believe that this is a view from a side street of Nossa Senhora da Misericordia. If so, its interior is considered to be one of the finest examples of 16th century construction in the entire Algarve. As you can see, though, it was in dire need of reconstruction when I was there ten years ago, but I expect it has much of its original glory back by now. Perhaps a reader from Portugal can clarify this mystery for me?
