Gunung Rinjani on Lombok Island, at 3726m a.s.l., is one of the highest mountains in Indonesia. It is a dormant volcano. (Gunung is Indonesian word for mountain.)

Four options are available to anyone interested in visiting Gunung Rinjani National Park: (1) 1N/2D to the crater rim, (2) 2N/3D to the rim and the lake, (3) 2N/3D to the summit, and (4) 3N/4D to the summit, up from Sembalun Lawang, down to the lake and ending at Senaru.
