Manzanillo never seems to have taken off in the grand scheme of beach resorts in Mexico. Nevertheless, it's a place I've been visiting for a few years and it's comforting to see that its quiet air of peace and calm remains. It's not quite Puerto Vallarta back in the days when The Night of the Iguana was filmed, but you don't have to go far or look very hard to see the simple life that gave rise to this pleasant place.
