(Carol took this photo.) Johnson City has one of the largest Christmas light displays in the state including these 100,000 lights on the courthouse. The current Blanco County Courthouse was built on the town square in Johnson City in 1916 by James Waterston, a stone mason trained in Scotland who came to Texas in 1883 to work on the construction of the State Capitol Building.
