During my 2007 Germany trip I visited the small village of Uttenreuth. My great great grandmother, Caroline Hoffman, was apparently from Uttenreuth, which gave me an excuse to visit an ordinary German village, now more or less a suburb of Erlangen, just north of Nurnberg.

Matthauskirche was an interesting stop in town, and one of only a couple buildings I found that were contemporary to my ancestors.
