The little town of Leavenworth, Washington sits in the Cascade mountains about 1 & 1/2 hours drive east of Everett on Highway 2. During the Christmas season it is transformed into a magical Bavarian village with thousands of lights. Christmas carols fill the air along with the wonderful smells of fantastic German food. The area has much to see and is well worth a few extra days visit to go exploring.
