When I travel to some country for an extended visit, I like to cap it off with a side visit to a nearby country. So I capped off my 2007 Germany trip with a week in Vienna. I can't say that I was wow'd by it - Vienna is huge with palaces and churches, but I saw so many of those in Germany that the novelty has worn off. It didn't help that it rained most days, too. Even so, I'm glad I made the trip, and I came home with plenty of pictures that I liked.
