During my 2007 Dayton business trip, I had a weekend to fill, so I used it for some Kentucky sightseeing. This including visiting a number of sites associated with the establishment of Kentucky as a state. Frankfort features its capitol and the grave of Daniel Boone. Harrodsburg is the site of the first American settlement in the territory. Danville is where the state's constitution was written, and it was the state's first seat of government.
