I capped off my 2007 Dayton business trip with a business meeting in Florida. With a sightseeing day tacked on, I went looking for alligators along highway US 41, the Tamiami Trail. Stops at Everglades NP's Shark Valley area, and Big Cypress National Preserve's Tree Snail Hammock Trail and scenic drive sites were successful. I saw a baby gator, a handful of adults and a number of other animals in their natural habitat.
