The next several photos I took once we entered Death Valley National Park. It was only about a half hour from Beatty NV which itself is about 2 hours from Las Vegas. There's probably a faster way to get to the Park from Vegas but, well, we were in Beatty. The temperature bobbed up and down 10 degrees depending on whether we were up in the hills--as high as 4800 feet on the road we travelled--or down at sea level.
